Board of Governors of the State Colleges and Universities of the State of Illinois

The board changed its name officially to the Board of Governors of the State Colleges and Universities of the State of Illinois on July 15th, 1965. There was a new addition to the colleges represented on this board: the Illinois Teacher's College-Chicago. The first meeting of the board recognized the untimely passing of Adlai Stevenson, who, while governor, convened the previous college board. This short-lived board will change its name in 1967 to the Board of Regents of the State of Illinois.

The reports were provided by Illinois State University, digitized and made available through the Internet Archive in 2012 with support from the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI).
