In its more than 150-year history, Illinois State University has been governed by six boards. Below is list of these boards with links to their monthly reports. The reports from 1950-1995 were digitized and made available in 2012 with support from the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI).
The first higher education governing board in the state of Illinois.
Second governing board, replacing the Board of Education in 1917 with the passage of the Civil Administration Code.
Third governing board, replacing the Normal School Board.
Fourth governing board, replacing the Teaching College Board.
Fifth governing board, replacing the Board of Governors. This is the last statewide governing board
Sixth and current governing board for ISU. The first board convened for ISU that handles only ISU specific actions and activities.
