Milner Library 3D Printing: A Five-Year Retrospective

"When Milner Library launched its 3D printing service in 2017 it was an experimental risk. We knew there was widespread interest but we didn’t know how many would take advantage of it or how impactful it would be on enabling more innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and research. Fast forward five years and over 2,000 3D printing requests later and it’s hard to imagine not offering 3D printing! We receive hundreds of requests every semester for class projects, research projects, and personal projects from students, faculty, and staff! We are thrilled that our service has created this sustained level of engagement and celebrate five years of 3D Printing with this retrospective highlighting the work we’ve supported!
