Each September, the United Nations designates the 21st of the month as the International Day of Peace. This day asks us to devote our collective time and energy towards strengthening the ideals of peace, dismantling racism, speaking up for equality, and supporting one another as human beings.
This year, Normal Public Library, ISU's Milner Library, and ISU's Department of Health Sciences worked together to ask our community: What does peace look like? The drawings, writings, and ideas that we received in response to this question from community members of all ages are presented here. We invite you to review, reflect, and engage with these works and offer your own view of what peace looks like by submitting your own postcard within the exhibit.
