To celebrate the Illinois Shakespeare Festival 2015 production and world premiere of Love’s Labor’s Won, Milner Library ;presents an exhibition of artwork inspired by the Great War. Featured are costume renderings by costume designer Nicholas Hartman, and century-old original World War I posters and other primary sources from the Government Documents Collection. Also on display, with special arrangement from Scott Kaiser, playwright for Love’s Labor’s Won, is the play’s compelling prologue. Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Scott Kaiser imagines Shakespeare’s now lost sequel to Love’s Labour’s Lost reuniting the young lovers after World War I. Love’s Labour’s Lost opens July 5th in the Theater at Ewing, and its companion production, Love’s Labor’s Won, opens July 19th at Illinois State University’s Westhoff Theatre.
