Survey of Art History is a series of handmade paper sheets recycled from three commonly used art history textbooks in undergraduate art history survey courses. This series investigates many themes including: limitations of textbooks; limitations in the process of learning from books; biased perspectives; destruction and reconstruction; as well as postmodern idealism and truism. It is our intention to present these books in a new context that repurposes their materials into actual works of art.
