Illinois State University
Magazines and Newsletters

various 'State' magazines displayed on a gray background

Illinois State (Normal) University and its constituent departments have used periodicals to connect with the university community and the public since the early 20th century, starting with The Normal School Quarterly and The Alumni Quarterly . In 1966 the university began delivering hundreds of copies of the Illinois State University Report to employees’ mailboxes each week with the aim of maintaining connections across the growing campus and keeping constituents up-to-date on university news, events, services, and policies. The Report went digital in 2009; it now arrives in ISU affiliates’ inboxes every other week in the form of an email newsletter.
