Internships
Milner Library offers a limited number of internships each semester for course credit. Students should speak to the internship advisor in the department for which they’d like to receive credit for the internship, and then fill out the form below to be placed with an internship supervisor at Milner. Once a position is confirmed at Milner, students will then register for a course and appropriate credit hours with their departmental internship advisor.
Funding for internships is limited, but Milner Library offers the following opportunities:

Kinzinger Scholarship for Milner Library Interns
Criteria
- Students who have declared major in a humanities or social sciences discipline will be given priority consideration
- A sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student who will be enrolled at Illinois State University in the semester subsequent to the internship: an Illinois State University student for at least one semester prior to application
- Students must be accepted for an internship or a current intern at Milner Library
- Eligible to students who have not received this scholarship previously

Jeffrey Johnson Archives Internship
Criteria
- Preference to a student who is a transfer from a Junior College
- Student must be accepted for an internship or a current intern at Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives
