A scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database containing full text for more than 7,100 publications, including over 6,100 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for 11,200 journals and other publications including monographs, reports, and conference proceedings. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.

A research database for the study of art and architecture. It has been designed for use by a diverse audience that includes art scholars, artists, designers, college students, and general researchers. This database covers a wide variety of pertinent subjects, including antiques, art and art history, interior and landscape design, and much more.     Art & Culture Digital Collection prehistoric to the present
A locally produced database of images for use in the study and teaching of art, design, and material culture at Illinois State University. Includes views of sculpture, architecture, painting, and decorative art objects from European, American, Middle Eastern, Asian, African and Oceanic cultures dating from prehistoric times to the present. The images come from many sources, including published images, original images purchased or donated, and unique images selected and scanned from the slide library at the School of Art.

    Artstor
The Artstor Digital Library provides more than one million digital images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences with an accessible suite of software tools for teaching and research. The community-built collections comprise contributions from outstanding international museums, photographers, libraries, scholars, photo archives, and artists and artists' estates.


    Bibliography of the History of Art
BHA on the Getty Web site offers comprehensive art bibliography, covering European and American visual arts from late antiquity through 2009. Encompasses the fine arts as well as decorative and applied arts.

Coverage includes both BHA (covering 1990-2007) and the International Bibliography of Art (IBA), covering the years 2008 and part of 2009. The Repertoire de la litterature de l'art (RILA), one of the predecessors of BHA, with records that cover 1975-1989, is also available.

    CAMIO (Catalog of Art Museum Images Online)

Citations from 1980 forward also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Free twenty-four page previews for all subjects. The American Economic Association's electronic database of scholarly literature, EconLit provides indexing and abstracts of journals, books, dissertations, and working papers covering every area related to economics. It includes full text for more than 580 journals.


    Gale Virtual Reference Library
Includes the full text of books, encyclopedias and handbooks. Available books cover all subject areas, including art, business, history and medicine.

    GPO Monthly Catalog July 1976 to present
Index to materials published by the US Government Printing Office. This index is valuable for using the Milner Library Documents Collection. Updated monthly. Provides citations, abstracts.

JSTOR holds the complete digitized back runs of core scholarly journals, starting with the very first issues, and offers high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were originally designed, printed, and illustrated. Of the available JSTOR collections, Milner has 4 multi-disciplinary collections (Arts and Sciences I, II, III and VII) and two discipline-specific collections (Ecology & Botany, General Science) for a total of 1113 academic journals.

JSTOR Current Scholarship Program provides subscription access to current issues of 136 journals.

    Oxford Art Online
Provides access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art, ed. Turner (1996, 34 vols.), the Oxford Companion to Western Art, ed. Brigstocke (2001), the Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, and the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms; ongoing additions of new and updated articles, 5,000 searchable images displayed in the text of articles, and image links. Note: the current subscription allows 8 users at a time to access the database.

    Oxford Reference Online Premium Collection
A fully-indexed, cross-searchable database of over 100 dictionaries and reference works in all subject areas published by Oxford University Press. Also includes titles in the world-renowned Oxford Companions Series. Provides full text.

The PsycINFO database, American Psychological Association's (APA) renowned resource for abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, is the largest resource devoted to peer-reviewed literature in behavioral science and mental health. It contains over 3 million records and summaries dating as far back as the 1600s with one of the highest DOI matching rates in the publishing industry. Journal coverage, which spans from the 1800s to the present, includes international material selected from around 2,500 periodicals in dozens of languages

    PubMed
PubMed is a service of the National Library of Medicine that includes over 16 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.

    Readers Guide Abstracts 1890 to present
Provides abstracts and indexing of over 450 general-interest periodicals published in the United States. Abstracts begin in 1983. Updated monthly.

    Sage Knowledge
Formerly Sage eReference, Sage Knowledge contains full text access to reference works primarily in the social sciences that are published by Sage.

    Sociological Abstracts (SocAbs) 1963 to present
Indexes articles in more than 1,900 journals, book abstracts and review citations in sociology and related fields. Provides citations, abstracts.

star Textile Technology Index
Originating in 1944, this database covers scientific and technological literature related to textile production and processing such as textile end products, manufacturing techniques and chemicals and dyes. The perspective is both current and historical, with some records going back to the 1800s. References and abstracts are given for over 400 journals and thousands of books, conferences, theses, technical reports and trade literature.
