star International Bibliography of Theatre & Dance 1984 to present
Started by the American Society for Theatre Research, this database aids the study of theatre and the performing arts. Full text is available for more than 140 journals, and more than 300 books.

star JSTOR
JSTOR holds the complete digitized back runs of core scholarly journals, starting with the very first issues, and offers high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were originally designed, printed, and illustrated. Of the available JSTOR collections, Milner has 11 multi-disciplinary collections (Arts and Sciences I through XI) and two discipline-specific collections (Ecology & Botany, Health & General Sciences). JSTOR Current Scholarship Program provides subscription access to current issues of 34 journals within these collections.

star Drama Criticism 1991 to present
Part of Literature Criticism Online, Drama Criticism provides critical analyses of significant dramatists or plays. For each play or playwright featured, a full range of critical opinion is presented, along with a biographical sketch, a chronological list of the writer's major works and more. Approximately 90-95% of critical essays are full text. Titles of the plays are searchable.

    Contemporary Authors
Contemporary Authors offers continuous access to current biographical and bibliographical data on more than 120,000 authors from the nineteenth century to the present. Easily search for an author by name, title of work, subject/genre, nationality, date and place of birth, honors, awards and much more.

    North American Theatre Online
A comprehensive reference work covering all aspects of the Canadian and American Theatre. A growing collection, it currently includes major reference materials, records to approximately 30,000 plays, 57,000 people, 5,400 theatres, 22,000 productions, and 2,500 production companies. The collection also includes approximately 10,500 images, playbills, postcards, scrapbooks and other resources.

    Humanities International Complete
Humanities International Complete is an invaluable resource for students, researchers, and educators interested in all aspects of the humanities, with worldwide content pertaining to literary, scholarly and creative thought. As well as including all data from Humanities International Index, Humanities International Complete includes full text for nearly 1200 journals.

    Asian American Drama
This edition of Asian American Drama contains 252 plays by 42 playwrights, together with detailed, fielded information on related productions, theaters, production companies, and more. The database also includes selected playbills, production photographs and other ephemera related to the plays.

    Black Drama
This database contains the full text of more than 1,460 plays written from the mid-1800s to the present by more than 250 playwrights from North America, English-speaking Africa, the Caribbean, and other African diaspora countries. It includes detailed, fielded information on related productions, theaters, production companies, and more. The database also includes selected playbills, production photographs and other ephemera related to the plays.

    MLA International Bibliography 1963 to present
Literature, languages, linguistics, and folklore from over 4,000 journals and series published worldwide. Updates ten times per year. Provides citations, abstracts.

    Latino Literature
Latino Literature brings together more than 100,000 pages of poetry, fiction, and over 450 plays written in English and Spanish by hundreds of Chicano, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and other Latino authors working in the United States. Among the gems of the collection are nearly 800 items (poems, novels, and plays) that have never been published before. Researchers will also find numerous Chicano folk tales and audio files of selected poems and plays.

    Project Muse Premium Collection
Provides full text access to journals in the humanities, arts, and social sciences from 60 scholarly publishers. Coverage and update periods vary. Provides citation, abstracts, and full text. Project Muse is a not-for-profit collaboration between the participating publishers and the Milton S. Eisenhower Library at Johns Hopkins University.

    North American Indian Drama
This database brings together full text plays representing the stories and creative energies of American Indian and First Nation playwrights of the twentieth century. It contains 172 plays by 33 playwrights, together with detailed, fielded information on related productions, theaters, production companies, and more. It also includes the Native Playwrights' Newsletter, a unique resource, containing a wealth of original essays, articles, photographs, interviews, reviews, and production information related to the plays

    World Shakespeare Bibliography 1960 to present
Consists of the most comprehensive record of Shakespeare-related scholarship and theatrical productions published or produced worldwide between 1960 and now. Contains over 132,640 annotated entries, this collected information is an essential tool for anyone engaged in research on Shakespeare or early modern England.

    Oxford Reference Online Premium Collection
A fully-indexed, cross-searchable database of over 100 dictionaries and reference works in all subject areas published by Oxford University Press. Also includes titles in the world-renowned Oxford Companions Series. Provides full text.

This database includes plays from the United States and Canada.     North American Women's Drama
This resource contains the full text of 1,500 plays written from colonial times to the present by more than 100 women from the United States and Canada. Many of the works are rare, hard to find, or out of print. It includes 1,517 plays by 330 female playwrights, together with detailed, fielded information on related productions, theaters, production companies, and more. The database also includes selected playbills, production photographs and other ephemera related to the plays.

Contains more than 250 definitive performances of the world's leading plays, together with more than 100 film documentaries, online in streaming video - more than 500 hours in all, representing hundreds of leading playwrights, actors and directors.

    Dance Online: Dance in Video
Contains dance productions and documentaries by the most influential performers and companies of the 20th century. Selections cover ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, experimental, and improvisational dance, as well as forerunners of the forms and the pioneers of modern concert dance. Currently has nearly 200 hours of performances.

    Dictionary of Literary Biography Complete 1978 -
Consisting of the Dictionary of Literary Biography, the Dictionary of Literary Biography Documentary Series and the Dictionary of Literary Biography Yearbook Series, the Dictionary of Literary Biography Complete features more than 143,000 comprehensive literary biographies. The biographies discuss lives and careers of authors, journalists, publishers and other literary figures.

This resource contains more than 15,000 full text biographies, and more than 9,400 obituaries. In addition, profiles maintained in this database feature more than 19,500 images, and offer the subject's own views, attitudes and commentary as well as the commentaries of other journalists and colleagues.     Gale Virtual Reference Library
Includes the full text of books, encyclopedias and handbooks. Available books cover all subject areas, including art, business, history and medicine.

    Circus & Allied Art Digital Collection
The slides of Sverre "Bex" Braathen combine a "Passion for Circus" with the skills and artistry of photography at its finest. Images were captured in the saturated colors of Kodachrome slides and date from the early 1940s to the late 1950s. Set within the context of the entire Braathen collection, these images provide insight to what happens just outside the canvas flaps of the circus tent.

BrowZine is a web-based service and app for Apple or Android smart phones and devices that helps you browse through scholarly e-journals available from Milner Library. BrowZine sorts our e-journals into broad disciplines and then into narrower subjects. You can save and organize your most-used e-journals on virtual bookshelves in your account. The result is an easy and familiar way to browse through, read, and monitor scholarly e-journals across disciplines.

    Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive (EIMA)
This digital archive is sure to receive rave reviews from those wanting to know more about behind-the-scenes activities of the music, film, and entertainment industries. By providing the complete runs of major trade and consumer magazines, from their inception to 2000, it arms students and researchers with the primary source material needed to develop a contextual understanding of the entertainment industry as it evolved over the 20th century.

Each magazine can be browsed cover-to-cover in full-page, full-text format. Users are able to search for original reviews, interviews, industry news, listings, charts and features relating to the full range of popular media using advanced search and retrieval functionality.
