star Academic Search Complete 1887 to present
A scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database containing full text for more than 7,100 publications, including over 6,100 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for 11,200 journals and other publications including monographs, reports, and conference proceedings. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.

star JSTOR
JSTOR holds the complete digitized back runs of core scholarly journals, starting with the very first issues, and offers high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were originally designed, printed, and illustrated. Of the available JSTOR collections, Milner has 11 multi-disciplinary collections (Arts and Sciences I through XI) and two discipline-specific collections (Ecology & Botany, Health & General Sciences). JSTOR Current Scholarship Program provides subscription access to current issues of 34 journals within these collections.

    eHRAF Archaeology
The eHRAF Archaeology is a Web-based, full-text database with information on prehistory of the world. This database is unique in that the paragraphs are indexed with subject codes for quick and precise retrieval of information. The eHRAF Collection of Archaeology provides researchers and students access to archaeological materials for comparative studies.

    eHRAF World Cultures
The eHRAF World Cultures, formerly the eHRAF Collection of Ethnography, is a unique cross-cultural database with full-text ethnographies that are subject indexed at the paragraph-level for precise retrieval of information on all aspects of cultural and social life. These materials are relevant to the various social science disciplines as well as the humanities and health sciences.

    America: History and Life 1964 to present
A complete bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. Published since 1964, the database comprises almost 400,000 bibliographic entries. This extensive database covers over 2,000 journals published worldwide. Updated three times per year. Provides citations, abstracts.

SocINDEX with Full Text offers comprehensive coverage of sociology, encompassing all sub-disciplines and closely related areas of study including abortion, criminology & criminal justice, demography, ethnic & racial studies, gender studies, marriage & family, and more. The database also features over 25,000 author profiles. SocINDEX includes full text for 777 journals dating back to 1908, and full text for more than 820 books and 14,000 conference papers.

    Project Muse Premium Collection
Provides full text access to journals in the humanities, arts, and social sciences from 60 scholarly publishers. Coverage and update periods vary. Provides citation, abstracts, and full text. Project Muse is a not-for-profit collaboration between the participating publishers and the Milton S. Eisenhower Library at Johns Hopkins University.

    North American Indian Thought and Culture
The database presents the life stories of American Indians and Canadian First Peoples in their own words and through the words of others. Soon to the be largest compilation ever created of biographical information on indigenous peoples from all areas of North America, it contains nearly 100,000 pages of content, including biographies, autobiographies, oral histories, reference works, manuscripts, and photographs. This database tells the life stories of well-known figures such as Sitting Bull but also lesser known individuals whose experiences further enhance the portrayal of Indian culture.

    BIOSIS Citation Index 1972 to present
Covers all major areas in the life sciences, including molecular and cellular biology, pharmacology, infectious diseases, ecology and more. The database indexes over 5300 journals as well as documents from meetings and conferences as well as patents. Includes cited reference searching.

BrowZine is a web-based service and app for Apple or Android smart phones and devices that helps you browse through scholarly e-journals available from Milner Library. BrowZine sorts our e-journals into broad disciplines and then into narrower subjects. You can save and organize your most-used e-journals on virtual bookshelves in your account. The result is an easy and familiar way to browse through, read, and monitor scholarly e-journals across disciplines.
