Presentation Practice Room

Milner Library Room 514 is designed and equipped for viewing media, practicing presentations, and working on group projects and is located on Floor 5 of the library, just southeast of the stairwell.

The room is available for use whenever the library is open. Wireless access is available in the room.

Key Check-out

In order to use the presentation practice room, you must check out a key from the circulation desk on Floor 2. The key circulates for 3 hours. If you need to use the room for more than 3 hours, you may "renew" the key with the circulation desk if there is not another patron waiting to use the room.

Failure to return the room key on time will result in an overdue fine of $2.00/hour. A lost key will result in a fine of $25.00.

Rules & Guidelines

  1. The Group Presentation Practice Room is monitored. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior will result in you being asked to leave the room.
  2. Your conversations can be heard by others. Keep noise levels to a minimum.
  3. Do not leave items unattended. Items left unattended will be removed by library staff and placed in the Lost and Found at the Circulation Desk.
  4. Place tables and chairs back to their original positions.
  5. Remove all trash before exiting the room.
  6. Turn off the monitor and the lights before exiting the room.

The presentation practice room is equipped with:

  • A 51" Samsung HDTV monitor
  • A combination DVD/VHS player for viewing videos
  • A collaboration station
  • configurable tables and chairs
