The ICCA has served multiple audiences over 40 years, including student researchers, academic scholars from across disciplines, and a wider public interested in viewing, learning about, and appreciating the imaginative vision that shapes a child’s creative pursuits.
The primary objective of the digitization project is to provide enhanced access to this multicultural resource, matching the images with descriptive metadata (age, gender, country and culture of origin, title of work and subject information) and inviting users to search the collection extensively and from afar.
Grant funding for the digitization of the ICCA was awarded by the Illinois State Library, A Department of the Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the federal Library Services and Technology Act.
The digital images are available to use, with attribution, for research, study and educational purposes. For permission to publish, distribute, or use the images for any other purpose, please visit Milner Library's copyright page.
