I-Share Loan Policies

Beginning on August 4, 2010, CARLI (the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois) implemented changes in order to standardize the loan polices that apply to materials borrowed from all I-Share institutions.  These changes have been designed to provide patrons more consistent and predictable due dates across the I-Share member libraries.

These policies provide all Illinois State University members a standard 4-week loan period (28 days) for items borrowed from any I-Share library other than Milner Library. Up to three 4-week renewals will also be allowed.  The renewal due date will be 28 days from the original due date and not from the date renewed.

This change of policy does not effect the loan periods or renewals of Milner Library items you may have checked out or will check out in the future.  Please see our Circulation Policies page for a listing of relevant loan periods, or call the circulation desk at (309) 438-7321.
