Classroom Use Policy

General Principles

  • Library instruction sessions have priority over all other uses of the classrooms.
  • Milner Library classrooms are not available for use by the campus and off-campus communities, except in special circumstances.
  • Use of computers in classrooms falls under the University's Policy on Appropriate Use of Information Technology Resources and Systems (http://policy.illinoisstate.edu/technology/9-2.shtml).

Scheduling & Canceling Rooms

  • Classroom space may be reserved by Milner faculty and staff only.
  • Non-Milner faculty, staff and students should contact the Head of Information Use and Fluency, Jennifer Sharkey, to inquire about reserving the spaces. These requests are evaluated on a case by case basis.
  • Canceled sessions will be removed from the calender to make the space available to other Milner faculty and staff.
  • Repeated failure by non-Milner Library faculty or staff members to give notice of cancellations may lead to suspension of reservation privileges.
